Indian Rural Awareness & Development Action
Overview
IRADA Foundation (Indian Rural Awareness and Development Action) is a voluntary organsation influenced by noted social activist Nana Ji Deshmukh, Deendayal Research Institute, Chitrakoot, and Late President Dr APJ Abdul Kalam. It was established in 2006 by social activist Sunil Kumar and is registered under the Indian Trusts Act, 1882 (vide registration no. 914/06, dated 10.07.2006).
It is a non-profit non-political organisation working at the grassroots in Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh, with a view to facilitate underprivileged sections of the society to plan, implement, monitor and evaluate programmes for their own growth and development. It is providing support to the disadvantaged sections of the society by encouraging their active participation at all level so as to develop a self-reliant society with a focus on socio-economic empowerment of the community, especially women as decision makers in the development process.
It follow ideals of Mahatma Gandhi and Acharya Vinoba Bhave for the all round development of rural population by means of different projects in the field of health and family welfare, education, women empowerment, environment, sanitation, vocational training and poverty alleviation.
